Grimdark Future: Warfleets is one of the games from OPR.

Description
For more information about the game itself, see Grimdark Future: Warfleets Rules.

Grimdark Future: Warfleets is Space Battle Game. This means that the game is usually played with fleets of a 300 to 450 points each. The armies consist of up to 6-9 ships and up to 8-12 squadrons, with maximum counts scaling based on points in a fleet.

Ships are large with slow turning, but can mount weapons on each of their arcs and useful systems. Squadrons are more mobile, but only have limited HP and armaments.

Setting
For more information about the lore, see Grimdark Future Lore.

Grimdark Future is a sci-fi universe at war. The galaxy is in turmoil, where powerful factions and alien races are locked in a struggle to control valuable resources and territory. The technology in this universe is advanced, with faster-than-light travel and powerful weapons, but the origins and true capabilities of this technology still need to be fully understood.

History
Grimdark Future: Warfleets was originally released in 20XX.
;If a unit with Regeneration is hit by a weapon with Deadly(X), how many Regeneration rolls does it get?
:It rolls one Regeneration roll for each wound, so a total of X times.

;What is the difference between Blast(X) and Deadly(X)?
:When taking hits from Blast(X) you roll X dice to block and the unit takes 1 wound for each failed block, whereas when taking hits from Deadly(X) you roll 1 dice to block and one model in the unit takes X wounds for the failed block.
:If the list says "upgrade any model", then as many models as you want can buy the upgrade, and you pay the cost for each model that was upgraded.
:The total size or tough value is counted at the beginning of the game.

: Example: If a unit with 10 models loses 5 models, you must take a morale test. From then on it will have to take a morale test whenever it loses models because it is at 50% or below of its starting size (counted at the beginning of the game).

;Does a unit that is "idle" still have to be activated? What can it do?

; Are upgrades like TAO Drones and High Elf Gun Platforms individual models on the battlefield?
:No, they are upgrades given to an individual model, much like a weapon or a jetpack. To represent them on the battlefield you can use miniatures as tokens, but they are ignored for gameplay purposes (line of sight, model removal, etc.).

;Is there any bonus to charging a unit in its flank/rear? (AoF Regiments)

;Can I use units such as vehicles and chariots from Grimdark Future/Age of Fantasy in Firefight/Skirmish?
:Yes, however they might not be very balanced.

Grimdark Future: Warfleets
;Do morale checks from weapons/systems/titles/etc have any penalties if you fail them?
:No, they don't. Unless they have a penalty in their rules text, they have no penalty if you fail them. (Beginners guide)

;Do squadrons have sides?
:No, they don't. (Beginners guide)

Loredude: final batch of edits for now

This page lists all the available factions for Grimdark Future: Warfleets, and gives a brief overview of their gameplay style.

Alien Hives
A faction with a focus on ship swarms and squadrons

their ships usually have worse speed and activate later but are cheaper and have better defenses, or are specialized.

Their squadrons are either tankier, block for others, or extremely good at anti-ship actions if allies are near

Battle Brothers
A versatile faction.

Ships have a focus on speed, mobility, flanking, and bonuses when attacking enemy sides.

They have superior but more costly squadrons, which they can enhance even more with control centers.

Blessed Sisters
A faction with a focus on morale check based abilities and retaliation, as well as blazing tokens that deal damage over time.

Their ships are either better at morale checks (extra good with their systems), or have more powerful turrets when damaged.

Their squadrons are either more powerful or able to explode or ram foes, destroying themselves but

DAO Union
Able to use laser markers to make their shooting superior

Their ships mainly either have worse but longer range turrets or better but worse range turrets.

The support drone can help with laser markers, while the Battle suit is a versatile powerful squadron

Also able to pelt their enemies with explosive smart missile squadrons

Dark Elf Raiders
Lovers of boarding tokens.

Their ships are either faster or able to overlap without issue (taking and dealing no damage while also giving the enemy boarding tokens)

While their squadrons are specialized and somewhat costly but potent in their roles

Dwarf Guilds
Slow but durable.

Their ships are slower, but have better toughness or additional health to compensate.

Their squadrons are very good at defensive play but their speed hurts their ability to attack

Eternal Dynasty
Most of their ships can teleport a short distance each round, giving them versatile mobility, while the Akabeko can be a master of war. Additionally, they can use beacon markers to either ram better or generate boarding tokens.

Their squadrons are able to apply or use said beacon markers or are able to ambush enemies.

Havoc Brothers
Focused on mid to short range combat.

Their ships either teleport when shot, or start with extra temporary speed (letting them engage cqb quicker).

Their squadrons have adaptable abilities and are able to fight ships and squadrons well.

High Elf Fleets
Ships with high mobility, with the ability to drift across the map, letting them have more options when moving.

Also quite good at squadron focused fleets due to their powerful squadrons, the falconer title, and other factors.

Human Defense Force
Specialized ships and squadrons, with each being good at specific things and worse at others. Also, powerful ship firepower.

Infected Colonies
A faction with a focus on objectives, boarding, survivability, and converting enemy ships into zombies.

They have outbreak ships, ships that aren't deployed normally but instead are created when enemy ships are destroyed while having boarding tokens. This is powerful for both getting another cheaper ship, and taking objective tokens from the enemy. Vector ships are slightly cheaper, spread boarding tokens with their turret, and have worse defenses.

Their squadrons either spread boarding tokens or explode.

Machine Cult
A faction that likes to keep it ships and squadrons close together.

Their ships either can't put guns in their front arc but have superior turrets, or they have the ability to get scrap tokens for defensive use and abilities when allies die nearby.

Their squadrons all trade their evade for high toughness, meaning they are way harder to kill in traditional squadron combat.

Orc Marauders
A faction with a heavy focus on CQB and Ramming.

Their ships either have orc crews, making them better at ramming and worse at long range shooting, or goblin crews, who are better at sustaining long range shooting but worse up close

Their squadrons have a focus on either speed, destruction, or scramming, but are less concerned with self preservation with worse defensive stats.

Ratmen Clans
A faction with a focus on surrounding and flanking, with a side of longer range firepower if you use hold actions

Their ships get better turrets when there's allied ships on both sides.

Rebel Guerrillas
A faction with a focus on swarming enemies

Their ships are slow and easier to kill, but extremely cheap and can be made even more disposable.

Good squadrons with nice abilities , and can create even more through hidden hangars

Robot Legions
Technological superiority, slow speeds, and potent guns. Able to form a nexus network, connecting allies together.

Their ships can either teleport to nearby allied ships (but have poor mobility), or project their weapons through nearby allied ships.

Their squadrons can teleport to allies connected to them through the nexus network, letting them be where they need to be with ease. They are more costly and extremely slow otherwise to compensate.

Saurian Starhost
A faction with a focus on morale check based "spell" abilities, durability, and turret effects.

Their ships are either tankier from the front or Vassals, which allow them to use nearby allies size rather then their own for morale check abilities.

Their squadrons more costly, but are better at what they do and also able to teleport to allied vassal ships if unengaged.

*Make one "perfect" miniatures page to serve as example for the other. Let's start with Alien Hives Miniatures
**Add a link to the faction page at the top
**move/remove TOC?
**update physical minis links
**no recommended base sizes (IMO Erfeo), makes the tables too messy
**add links to https://miniset.net/, especially for OOP minis. Probably leave GW links for available minis?
**Should the other manufacturers be part of the tables? Or only in their own section? Or on a separate page?
**Remove the "Factions-Links" template, as it's obsolete (keep the "GAME-Factions" template below)
**"See also" is probably not necessary

Factions
*Make one "perfect" Faction page to serve as example for the other. Let's start with Alien Hives
**What should be the main function of these pages?
**All mentions of Tactics and Quickplay pages should be removed
**The Play Style sections seems too prescriptive, and likely to outdated come september. Remove
***also doesn't really work because faction pages should work for all games, including Warfleets and Quest
**Merge Miniatures and Similar To sections
**Remove See Also section and "Faction-Links" template (keep the "GAME-Factions" template below)
*Edit the other pages to follow the above example once that's done. How can we best mark old pages that they need a rework? So that people won't work on pages that need to be reworked first.

Rules
*It would be good to convert the old Rules FAQ to the wiki. Ping me (@Erfeo) on the discord to discuss how we should go about that.
**It should be separate pages for each game
Warfleets
*Miniature pages
**miniatures pages should be wholly new, not attached to the pages of the other games
*I added a mini's page, its somewhat lacking however -loredude

Currently, OPR doesn't have any miniatures for warfleets other then the ones made before the switch to GDF: warfleets. They are still purchasable, but only have 1 ship of each size, rather then 2-3.

OPR Paper Miniatures
Although the paper minis OPR has designed are outdated, they still work. Unfortunately, they have the same issue of only being 1 per ship size plus color variants, meaning you will likely have to double up if your fleet has both ship variants as well as common ships.

Other Sources
Dropfleet commander's mini ranges work well, although they may not be the recommended base size

Games Workshop's battlefleet gothic range works, but is long out of production

Good fanmade options exist as well, such as Sablebadger on myminifactory , who has made various faction's fleets as purchasable STL files.

Sablebadger's, in particular, has a model for each ship and squadron, as well as for the common faction ships.
